I’m a huge fan of Topshop Make up. My first experience with it was when they opened their first store in Las Vegas last year. Now they are introducing a gorgeous new Edit Trend Collection for spring/summer with makeup bag must-haves for the season from Topshop Make Up Consultant Hannah Murray. The line includes muted metallics and pops of bright color in easy to apply cream formulas that are long-wearing and perfect for spring and summer.
Topshop is also introducing fun 3-in-1 Nail Art Pens, glitter nail shades, a bright pink cream blush and gorgeous new shade additions to their core line.
Here’s a sneak peek into some of their bright lip colors from their Spring Collection.
I was so excited to learn that Topshop is opening a store at the Fashion Show Mall next month to be exact! I’ve been lucky enough to visit the only other two stores in the U.S, the New York and Chicago locations. What’s even more exciting is that the Vegas store will also carry the Topshop makeup collection. Thank you dear Sir Philip Green.
Topshop’s PR team sent me samples of some of the collections’ most popular picks, from trend driven shades to coveted must-haves, I’m excited to give you a sneak peek. Believe me, you’re going to want more!
Topshop Nails, $10
Fast drying, extra long wear with lasting glossy wet look finish. I’m looking forward to wearing some of these bright and metallic shades poolside at Red Rock this summer!
Topshop Eye Crayon, $12
I am absolutely in love with Eye Crayon! It’s a chunky eye shadow pencil with glitter for shading, lining and defining eyes. I personally love it to add a little twist to smoky eyes, perfect for a night out at the Lady Silvia or 1 Oak.
Topshop Cheeks, $10
This is a lightweight cream to powder blush which melts into the skin leaving a luminous finish. Don’t fret, it’s brighter than it looks and spot on for spring.
Needless to say, the Topshop makeup tickled my fancy indeed. Make sure to stop by the store to see the entire collection once they officially open their doors in Sin City on March 8th!
I recently purchased this new lip gloss by Victoria’s Secret called Beauty Rush with SPF 15 for $7. I bought the Mega Melon and it gives me the perfect summery pink/peachy tone that goes with my skin color. They have variety to choose from but I wanted something I could wear day and night. The gloss goes on smooth and most importantly, it’s not sticky. It lasts a long time and leaves my lips feeling conditioned. While the specs of glitter give your lips some attention, the SPF 15 is a great bonus to fight off those harmful sun rays.
This lip gloss is also perfect for giving you that gloss to match your tan after a day at the beach. It smells and tastes great too! Have you tried any of the other colors?
Finding the perfect red lipstick can be as challenging as finding the perfect guy! Does the perfect one really exist? Perhaps not, but you can find one that you can make work for you.
We all may know the basics of how to wear red lipstick/gloss – start with matching the color with your skin tone and then go light with all the other makeup on your face. Personally, I usually like to wear red lipstick when my hair is straight and when I’m wearing white, black or grey. I don’t like to have anything compete with the red lips, not even my accessories. I think red lips make a statement and its best made on its own or I tend to feel a little too much like “Pretty Woman” if you catch my drift.
For those of you that have medium skin tone (with gold or olive undertones) like I do can probably relate to how difficult it is to find that right shade of red lipstick. Here are some quick red-lip tips for all you ladies out there:
Choose the right red for your skin tone:
Fair skin tone – coral, more orange-y reds
Medium skin tone – pink, cranberry reds
Dark skin tone – deep burgundy reds or warm brick reds
I also line my lips with nude lip liner so the red pigment doesn’t bleed and softens the look a bit. I always blot my lips when I’m finished with the application. My favorite red lipstick right now is Kevyn Aucoin’s Liquid Lipstick in Ondine. It regularly retails for $27 but I bought it on sale on hautelook.com.
