I’m still not ready to say bye to summer! It’s been a great summer for my hair because I finally decided to add some partial blonde balayage highlights to my natural dark brown hair. My colorist gave me the exact shade of beige blonde I wanted. And since it’s summer, I decided to try out the Hot Tools Ceramic Tourmaline Deep Waver curling iron for those beachy, voluminous locks. I absolutely love the look, the Deep Waver gives my hair amazing body and natural looking waves. I know I need to take special care of my highlighted hair and protect it from styling tools, the sun, chlorine water, etc. I recently used ColorProof Evolved Color Care, SignatureBlonde Violet Shampoo and Conditioner to give me heat protection while canceling out any brassy and yellow tones.
Although we are in mid August, think I’m going to keep this look for fall! What are the hair trends you’re looking forward to this autumn?
I love beauty pop-ups! The concept is pretty genius because, if done correctly, pop-ups let you experience a brand in a fun, creative way! CND, the global leader in professional nail products and services did just that by teaming up with ULTA Beauty to bring CND®VINYLUX® Weekly Polish experience to life.
This CND®VINYLUX® Weekly Polish co-branded pop-up nail studio is making its way at select Fashion Week events in six key markets and they stopped in Vegas last week.
CND® VINYLUX® Weekly Polish is fast-drying and delivers 7-day, chip-resistant wear and brilliant shine that lasts and no base coat is needed! Available at ULTA stores and ulta.com.
And as part of this partnership, here’s an exclusive social media sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip for two to New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2017 in February! Enter here and get all the deets. Good luck!

Orly is officially launching their new Breathable Treatment + Color nail polish line. A perfect rehab for a gel addict like myself, this innovative formula allows oxygen and hydration to pass through, promoting nail growth, increasing nail thickness and helping heal damaged nails. Infused with Argan Oil, Vitamin B5 and C for growth, its all-in-one formula allows you to skip base and top coat, cutting mani time in half.
Although the line won’t be available in retail stores until September, I was lucky to be invited to the launch party at the Four Season Hotel here in Vegas!
I’m very particular when it comes to blow dry bars. Perhaps its because I’ve never really been wowed by any blowouts here in Las Vegas. The few times I visited some blow dry bars here I was always told that my hair was too heavy or too thick for a blow out. Maybe it was an excuse to quickly blow dry my hair and curl with an iron – not the same.
I finally saw and felt the difference at the opening of Drybar located inside the Miracle Mile Shops in Planet Hollywood. As soon as I stepped foot inside the 3,000 square foot space (their largest to date), I felt the vibe and energy provided by a live DJ and full bar.
My stylist, Krista K. did a fabulous job with shampooing my hair and giving me the “Dirty Martini” blow out. While sipping my Cosmo, Krista told me I had perfect hair for a blowout. She used the award-winning Triple Sec 3-in-1, I loved it so much, I bought some to take home with me.
I also had the pleasure to meet Drybar founder, Alli Webb whose creativity and vision was evident in every detail of the space. Her background as a professional hair stylist is what sets Drybar apart from the rest. Her vision is to focus on the one thing they do well – blowouts. She is a true inspiration for all females.

It may be St. Patrick’s Day today, but I’ve got England on my mind. Anyone who really knows me, knows how much I love England. I feel a certain pull to the country’s history, culture and people. Perhaps I was British in a past life. In this life however, I only get to visit the UK once or twice a year. So when I visited in November, I made sure to check out the latest in British fashion and beauty.
My first stop was Selfridges. Deciding to skip the well-known American beauty brands, I came across one unfamiliar counter, Charlotte Tilbury. Although I was familiar with the name, I have never seen her actual line of beauty products, she only has a few counters in NYC, California, and a few other states but none in Vegas (yet). Charlotte Tilbury is a British celebrity make up artist who has worked with international beauties such as Kate Moss, Jennifer Lopez, Penelope Cruz and Rihanna. I had my makeup done by one of the Charlotte’s beauty reps who couldn’t stop talking about how she dreamt of visiting NYC when she found out where I was from. The grass is always greener, as they say.
Nevertheless, here are a few of my favorite beauty and fashion picks from across the pond.
